#Basics

  • The best way to start is book your consultation online. Alternatively, you can also call, text, or email us.

  • In short, no, you are never too old for orthodontic treatment. Dr. Yoon considers many variables when developing your customized treatment plan, but age is rarely a deciding factor. Orthodontic treatment can be as successful for adults as it is for adolescents. In fact, about 50% of our patients is an adult. Don’t let your age keep you from getting a beautiful smile you deserve!

  • No later than age 7. Although not all young children need “interceptive” (or early) orthodontic treatment, a small subset of our young children will benefit tremendously from it by addressing severe teeth and/or jaw problems which, when left untreated, could require corrective jaw surgery or extraction of permanent teeth. Watch this video from American Association of Orthodontists.

  • Not at all. Braces and Invisalign® are simply tools to move teeth and either can be used for BOTH children and adults. Each option has pros and cons. Dr. Yoon will discuss those and help you choose which “tool” suits you better.

  • Absolutely! About 70% of our patients have chosen Invisalign® over traditional braces.

#Consultation

  • The best way to book your consultation online. Alternatively, you can also call, text, or email us.

  • First, we will be taking a set of orthodontic records (photos, X-rays, and/or digital scanning of your teeth). Dr. Yoon will perform a clinical exam and review your records. Then, he will discuss your treatment options in detail and help you envision the most beautiful smile you have been dreaming for yourself!

  • Absolutely! We would need two specific types of X-rays: panoramic (the whole jaw) and cephalometric (the whole skull from the side) X-rays. If these were taken recently please email them to us prior to your appointment.

  • About one hour.

  • No. Our comprehensive orthodontic evaluation/consultation is complimentary.

#Fees

  • It depends mainly on two factors: complexity and duration of your treatment. Every patient’s treatment fee is different as every treatment plan is 100% customized by Dr. Yoon to address the individual’s unique problems. More complicated, however, doesn’t necessarily mean longer treatment time. Dr. Yoon’s highly-trained orthodontic skillsets will make your treatment go as efficiently as possible.

  • Not necessarily. We do offer in-house financing with 0% interest.

  • You pay the downpayment (typically ranging from $1,000 to 2,000) when you commit to your treatment. Then, the remaining balance will be on automatic monthly payments until it’s fully paid off.

  • Yes! In this case your automatic monthly payment will still continue until it is fully paid off.

  • Absolutely! We will work with you when we set up the financing for you. Please keep in mind you may finish your treatment before your fee/balance is paid in full, in which case your automatic monthly payment will still continue until it is fully paid off.

#Insurance

  • Yes, we do, but not directly. Dr. Yoon is considered an “out-of-network” provider, which means that we are not contracted with any insurance companies. We will check your benefit and help you get the treatment fee reimbursed AFTER you start your orthodontic treatment with us. You can get the reimbursement of up to $3,000.00.

  • We will find out for you online or by calling your insurance company on your behalf. We will be asking if you have “out-of-network” orthodontic benefit or coverage.

  • AFTER you start your orthodontic treatment with us, we will do the paperwork (“dental claim” form; see an example) and submit it to them on your behalf. You should receive a check from your insurance company within 10-15 weeks.

  • Yes we can! Certain dental insurance companies (e.g. MetLife) may ask us to provide your social security number for identification purposes.
